These Exit Tickets for the Elements of Art give you 4 ways to test your students understanding. One ticket asks them to circle the Elements of Art. Another, simply to list them. The next, asks students to match the Element of Art with its definition. Finally, students are asked what Element of Art they have used in that lesson and to explain how they have used it.
If you use all 4 exit tickets over a period of time, you will have a clear picture of your students understanding.

When my teaching is evaluated, one of the things they look for is that exit ticket. I love this ticket to print out, but I don’t want to print out a lot of paper that I have to shuffle through. Have you thought about making this a google form? Either way, it will be used by me. I struggle with finding exit tickets that give good feedback so this is perfect.

I am pleased you think that these exit tickets give good feedback. Thank you. Each exit ticket is on its own page, so perhaps just print out the ones you need?

I set up The Arty Teacher because I have a passion for my subject that I want to share with other art teachers around the world.
I have been a high school art teacher for over 20 years, so I understand what it’s like to be in front of a class of students, often with very different abilities and attitudes.
I wanted to develop resources that would help teachers to bring out the best in every student in every class. I also wanted to free-up staff from time-consuming lesson preparation to let them focus instead on delivering exciting, motivating, dynamic lessons, supported by excellent resources.
