Paolozzi Relief Sculpture Unit of Work

This Paolozzi Relief Sculpture unit of work is a large project where students will:

• Learn about the work of Eduardo Paolozzi, looking specifically at his sculptures and relief surfaces and create a research page.
• Create designs in their sketchbooks to inform their relief sculpture.
• Learn about card construction and how to use gummed tape.
• Experiment with acrylic painting techniques.
• Paint their relief sculpture informed by their own experimentation.

• A three page written unit of work that includes stages for creating an artist research page, creating designs, Constructng the relief sculpture, painting techniques, homework tasks, extension task and assessment.
• A 14-slide PowerPoint (pictured above) that guides your students through every step of the project.
• 3 worksheets to inform the designs that students create in their sketchbook. This is will result in designs similar to the coffee-stained image above.
• An assessment rubric.
