I wanted to share with you these amazing tyre planters. Art teacher Rebekah Aleah had her 4th/5th grade Art Club students collaborate with Gardening Club who will turn them into planters.
I asked her what the process had been and she told me:
“First, I sprayed with a spray paint that had a primer built into it. Then students painted the treks with acrylic outdoor/indoor craft paint, then sealed it with a satin clear lacquer.”
These tyres got an amazing reaction on Facebook with other art teachers loving the colour combinations and the fact that this has been a collaboration between two clubs.
