Bio

I am a trained tutor and community artist with experience of working with organisations and groups internationally including West Dean College, Kent Adult Education and in educational and Museum settings .My workshops and projects are centred around the exploration of skills and ideas to help to develop an individual approach to making as part of the creative process. Early studies in textile and paper arts in Japan (funded by the Churchill Fellowship and The Japan Foundation) followed by more recent research in India enabled the artist to adapt processes and develop a unique response the use of found materials and cloth as a means to process techniques and ideas Author of 5 books for Batsford publications Due to a change in family circumstances I have made changes to how I work. I am taking bookings for on-line workshops and talks, with organisations and groups and am beginning to re-introduce some teaching ‘in-person’ within the Kent London area when I can
