Drawing Barnacles in Different Media.
I don’t know if it’s the three pages of beautiful barnacles that make this download so appealing or the sketchbook pages of good examples. I do know that showing your students good examples raises attainment. This download is also great for showing students that experimenting with a broad range of different media is not only good for skill development but for discovering effects, textures, how to create form, problem-solving and portfolio diversity. This download includes:
- 3 pages of barnacle photographs.
- 2 example sketchbook pages, shown with and without annotation, in a PowerPoint. (Pictured above)
Please note that this download does not include a lesson plan.
Materials required: You can choose to use any media that you have in your department, you don’t need to use what is shown here. The media used on the sketchbook pages are various pens, pencil, pencil on brown paper, fineliner, blue and red ballpoint pen, pen and watercolour and non-permanent pen smudged with water.
