Bio

Lucy Maddox is an emerging Melbourne-based artist working across a range of modern and traditional mediums, including drawing, painting, printmaking, public art and digital art. With a background in linguistics and the study of language, much of her work centers on connection and communication, specifically through touch, gesture and body language. She has been a finalist in several local and national art prizes, including the Wyndham Art Prize, the Lyn McCrea Memorial Drawing Prize and the Banyule Award for Works on Paper. She is currently an artist-in-residence at Pentridge Arts in Coburg.

Experience in Schools

I currently teach weekly art classes at Victorian Artists Society in East Melbourne to adults and teenage learners. I have also led a 5-week workshop at VCASS in South Melbourne focusing on digital art.
