Commissioned Teaching Resources

Do you want to make resources for The Arty Teacher and get an immediate return for your efforts? If you are fed up with other resource websites taking too much of a cut, you will love my prices below.

I am particularly looking for ceramics, graphics and textiles/fibre projects as they are not my areas of expertise. However, I am open to all ideas.

You have probably already have some projects that have been successful and that you can tickle up in no time at all. There are a few things to consider:

• It has got to be unique to The Arty Teacher and not available anywhere else.
• It cannot break copyright. The Arty Teacher Ltd never breaks copyright, so you cannot use an artist’s work without permission, or your students work. It is wrong to profit from your students even though you see art teachers do this all the time.
• You need to be able to use Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. I will provide you with templates so that you achieve that ‘arty teacher’ high-quality look.
• You need excellent spelling and grammar.

What will I pay you?

A Full Unit of Work – £120

PowerPoint or PDF with a minimum of 12 slides/pages. This is likely to include step-by-step images or good examples that you have created.

A Three Page Worksheet & PowerPoint- £45

The same as above but with a PowerPoint that the teacher can use in conjunction with the worksheets.  There is a good example here.

I will give you lots of help and support.  I am also open to your suggestions and am happy to give you a price on something you have planned.  Whatever you send me needs to be the editable version of it e.g. a photoshop file, Powerpoint or Word document as I may need to make versions for different countries.

Ownership

Once paid for, the resources you create will belong to The Arty Teacher Ltd. You may not sell them elsewhere or similar versions of them.

Copyright Issues

If you are unsure if you can use an image or not, do not. You have got to be 100% certain that an image is yours to use.
You cannot use an artist’s work without their permission. You may be able to find public domain images if an artist has been dead for 75 years. You must check it is a public domain image as a photo of an artwork can belong to the person who took the photograph.
Images must be your own. This includes student work. You cannot profit from your students. Although this happens all the time, I think this is unethical.
I have got pretty good at sourcing public domain images, so if you’re looking for something in particular, I’ll try to help. No promises, but I will try.

So, you’re interested? Brilliant! What next?
