Description

Create a 16-page concertina zine out of one piece of paper with a few cuts and some folding! This download includes:

  • A zine page with instructions to make a zine that reads, ‘With scissors, glue and hands so keen, you build the magic of a zine.’ (Zine is pronounced ‘zeen’.)
  • A blank template with instructions to make a zine.

These resources make a great first lesson when introducing your students to zines. The template could be used for students to plan what they would like to go on their own 16 page zine.

This download does not include a cover and you may wish to add a card cover to these zines.

If you love zines, bookbinding, or simply folding paper, you love my online professional development, ‘Zines: History & making’. It will teach you about zines and the many ways to make them. There are also other zine templates and downloads on this website.

Sarah Crowther – The Arty Teacher

I set up The Arty Teacher because I have a passion for my subject that I want to share with other art teachers around the world.

I have been a high school art teacher for over 20 years, so I understand what it’s like to be in front of a class of students, often with very different abilities and attitudes.

I wanted to develop resources that would help teachers to bring out the best in every student in every class. I also wanted to free-up staff from time-consuming lesson preparation to let them focus instead on delivering exciting, motivating, dynamic lessons, supported by excellent resources.
