With this 3D Spheres art lesson, it is easy to teach that tone/values can give the illusion that a flat surface has form. Included in this download is:
- A worksheet with 4 blank spheres for students to work on. There is a version that uses the word ‘Tone’ and a version that uses the word ‘Values’.
- A good example of completed spheres that use pencil, coloured pencil, scumbling and ballpoint pen. You can, of course, use whatever media you wish or even use different types of mark making.
- A 3 slide presentation (pictured above). On the final slide, the text is animated so you can talk students through where to place the different areas of light and dark.
3D Spheres is a great way to teach ‘form’ and ‘space’ if you are teaching the elements of art.
