Description

With this collaborative lily artwork, students work in groups with each student drawing a piece(s) of the picture which combines to create a large artwork.  The lesson plan suggests you use pencil or pastels but you can, of course, use whatever media you like.  This resource comes in both A4 pieces and letter-size pieces.  Lillies are ideal to make connections to Monet, flower projects, Impressionism or natural forms projects.

This download includes:

  • An 8-page A4 PDF and an 8-page letter-size PDF each of which piece together to create the image above.
  • A lesson plan that includes: Preparation, introduction, demonstration, development, plenary and extension task.
  • An image of the lilies artwork to refer to.

Sarah Crowther – The Arty Teacher

I set up The Arty Teacher because I have a passion for my subject that I want to share with other art teachers around the world.

I have been a high school art teacher for over 20 years, so I understand what it’s like to be in front of a class of students, often with very different abilities and attitudes.

I wanted to develop resources that would help teachers to bring out the best in every student in every class. I also wanted to free-up staff from time-consuming lesson preparation to let them focus instead on delivering exciting, motivating, dynamic lessons, supported by excellent resources.
