Description

This ‘Drawing Capsicum’ has been created as a ‘no sharing materials’ project.  It can be used in school or the pack can be printed and students can use it at home.  This download includes the following:

  • A printable 7-page PDF that includes drawing tasks for creating a line drawing, tone/value drawing, cross hatching drawing, coloured pencil drawing, stippling drawing and then students create a drawing in their most successful medium. Each task includes a good example of what you want your students to draw.
  • A PowerPoint that includes all the same tasks that is useful if you want students to work in a sketchbook rather than on the worksheets.  The PowerPoint includes the images that you’d need to print for students to draw from, on the last two slides in the PowerPoint.

This resource has been created for Australian & NZ art teachers.  There is also a version for the UK and USA here.

Sarah Crowther – The Arty Teacher

I set up The Arty Teacher because I have a passion for my subject that I want to share with other art teachers around the world.

I have been a high school art teacher for over 20 years, so I understand what it’s like to be in front of a class of students, often with very different abilities and attitudes.

I wanted to develop resources that would help teachers to bring out the best in every student in every class. I also wanted to free-up staff from time-consuming lesson preparation to let them focus instead on delivering exciting, motivating, dynamic lessons, supported by excellent resources.
