Drawing Food – 3 Activities Pack

Description

Created for the current school closures crisis, this 3 activity pack might be just what you’re looking for.  3 worksheets combine to create a mini ‘Drawing Food’ project.  This pack includes:

  • A ‘Drawing a Pizza Slice’ worksheet.  The instructions just say ‘pencil’ but this could also be completed in coloured pencil.
  • A ‘Draw the Burger’ worksheet.  A classic task that demands high-quality drawing.
  • ‘Draw a Custard Cream’ includes 3 stage-by-stage drawings, the last of which is complete and an excellent example.

I would allow two 50 minute lessons for each ‘Drawing Food’ task but this will depend on how quickly your students work.  Adding extension tasks would be easy for this project as you could ask students to draw a food item from their home using direct observation.

Sarah Crowther – The Arty Teacher

I set up The Arty Teacher because I have a passion for my subject that I want to share with other art teachers around the world.

I have been a high school art teacher for over 20 years, so I understand what it’s like to be in front of a class of students, often with very different abilities and attitudes.
