Einstein believed creativity was as important as knowledge: My kind of man!
This one-page worksheet, with a good example, imaginatively combines art and science. Great if you want to inject some cross-curricular elements into your curriculum. Einstein addresses students directly through the speech bubble, introducing who he is and asking them to create an imaginative drawing based on their own creative ideas or symbols of science representing light, time and space. It includes an extension task of drawing themselves on the reverse with ideas exploding from their heads!
I considered including a page of scientific instruments and symbols with this download but didn’t want to change this from imaginative to copying. What do you think? Let me know.
If your students can improve on the good example that is included, I’d be happy to send a discount code your way!
There are many more imaginative drawing lessons and art sub-lessons on The Arty Teacher website.

I set up The Arty Teacher because I have a passion for my subject that I want to share with other art teachers around the world.
I have been a high school art teacher for over 20 years, so I understand what it’s like to be in front of a class of students, often with very different abilities and attitudes.
I wanted to develop resources that would help teachers to bring out the best in every student in every class. I also wanted to free-up staff from time-consuming lesson preparation to let them focus instead on delivering exciting, motivating, dynamic lessons, supported by excellent resources.
