Georgia O'Keeffe Digital Art Project

This Georgia O’Keeffe Digital Art Project is a comprehensive unit of work that asks students to research the work of Georgia O’Keeffe and create an artist research page, photograph roses, learn or improve their skills using the ‘Adobe Fresco’ App, texture surfaces, and to work with different media.  This download includes:

  • An 11-slide PowerPoint that includes beautiful examples of photography pages and an excellent example of the final outcome.
  • A detailed step-by-step guide to creating a coloured line drawing with Adobe Fresco.  (No prior knowledge required by you!)
  • A 5-page, detailed, written unit of work.  This breaks the project down into 10 stages and is full of practical advice and tips.
  • 5-rose images in case your budget won’t stretch to buying roses.
  • A single-column assessment rubric which you can use for assessment or self-assessment.

Sarah Crowther – The Arty Teacher

I set up The Arty Teacher because I have a passion for my subject that I want to share with other art teachers around the world.

I have been a high school art teacher for over 20 years, so I understand what it’s like to be in front of a class of students, often with very different abilities and attitudes.

I wanted to develop resources that would help teachers to bring out the best in every student in every class. I also wanted to free-up staff from time-consuming lesson preparation to let them focus instead on delivering exciting, motivating, dynamic lessons, supported by excellent resources.
