This project is named ‘Half & Half Trees’ as the artwork students create is half collage, half drawing. This project is in collaboration with artist MSillo.
During this project students will:
- Learn about the artist MSillo by creating a research page and practical work.
- Develop observational drawing skills aiming to include detail and texture.
- Experiment with pen techniques such as cross hatching, stippling and mark making, to create texture.
- Reflect on their work during a plenary.

- A lesson plan.
- 7 Winter Trees for your students to choose from. Alternatively, you could extend this project and ask students to photograph their trees. Some images in this publication are Ai generated.
