Description

This is the version for the USA and uses the word ‘value’ rather than ‘tone’.  There is a UK version here.

‘Marking a drawing with a Sticker’ is a brilliant way to cut your marking time right down.  This download comes with 7 different phrases, each of which fills an A4 page.  Just print them at the beginning of the year onto stickers and see your workload go down.

The wording includes the 7 most frequent things that art teachers find themselves writing when marking a drawing.  Each one is written as a target for improvement.  For example, improving the overall shape, adding darker tones, how not to smudge and more.

Each image is 45mm in diameter, so small enough not to be intrusive but large enough to read.  You can buy stickers of the right size here.

Sarah Crowther – The Arty Teacher

I set up The Arty Teacher because I have a passion for my subject that I want to share with other art teachers around the world.

I have been a high school art teacher for over 20 years, so I understand what it’s like to be in front of a class of students, often with very different abilities and attitudes.
