The talented street artist Phlegm has inspired this card and paper mache sculpture. I suggest you use the free presentation on Phlegm available on this website at the start of the project to introduce your students to this versatile artist. During this project, students will:
- Learn about the street artist Phlegm through the free presentation.
- Create drawings of mythical creatures inspired by the provided images and written descriptions.
- Make an armature for a sculpture and cover it with paper mache.
- Draw a mythical creature onto their sculpture with a focus on mark making.
This download includes:
- Links to 4 videos that are embedded on this website on a password-protected page.
- 3 pages of mythical beast images to inspire drawings.
- One page of mythical beast descriptions for those learners who are inspired by the written word.
This download does not include a written unit of work as everything you need to deliver this project is in the videos. You can use the videos to teach yourself or directly with your students.
