A recent delight has been to watch the virtual tour of the closed ‘Picasso and Paper’ exhibition on YouTube.  This download is a three-page question paper to accompany this virtual tour. Ideal for home learning. There are 35 questions. The questions require your students to read the text within the virtual tour and to look at the artworks.

This is an ideal home learning resource.  I imagine it would take students 2 or 3 lessons to complete the questions depending on their age and ability. The video makes quiet reference to brothels, fetish objects and erotic artworks, so you may want to reserve this for students over a certain age.  I would use it with Year 9 (age 14) and above.

Sarah Crowther – The Arty Teacher

I set up The Arty Teacher because I have a passion for my subject that I want to share with other art teachers around the world.

I have been a high school art teacher for over 20 years, so I understand what it’s like to be in front of a class of students, often with very different abilities and attitudes.

I wanted to develop resources that would help teachers to bring out the best in every student in every class. I also wanted to free-up staff from time-consuming lesson preparation to let them focus instead on delivering exciting, motivating, dynamic lessons, supported by excellent resources.
