Picasso Paper Cut-Outs, as the video above has shown, helps your students create wonderful Picasso inspired paper sculptures. This download includes the following:
It’s a wonderful way to introduce the work of Picasso and was inspired by the Picasso and Paper exhibition which you can see on YouTube here. To cut out the central parts of the cut-outs your students will need craft knives.

My high school Native speaker Spanish students are studying Human Rights and watching a documentary on the Spanish Civil War and the 40 year dictatorship of Franco. We will be using these pieces from Guernica to retell the story of this period through changes the students would make to these pieces to show the original images in Guernica and how they would retell the story of the violations of human rights and uncover the untold stories through art. I am so excited to use your work with my students. I am interested to see if they keep their pieces monochromatic or add color, what images they may embed and what words they may include.

I set up The Arty Teacher because I have a passion for my subject that I want to share with other art teachers around the world.
I have been a high school art teacher for over 20 years, so I understand what it’s like to be in front of a class of students, often with very different abilities and attitudes.
I wanted to develop resources that would help teachers to bring out the best in every student in every class. I also wanted to free-up staff from time-consuming lesson preparation to let them focus instead on delivering exciting, motivating, dynamic lessons, supported by excellent resources.
