Landscape Collage Unit of Work
This comprehensive unit of work asks your students to both draw a landscape and create a landscape collage where they paint their own papers first. (Of course, you could just choose to deliver the collage lessons only.) This unit of work includes:
This unit of work will take at least 8 x 50-minute lessons. Longer if you wish to extend the range of media that students draw with, and longer still if you wish students to take their own photographs.
To support this project there is also a free presentation about landscape collage artist Robin Brooks here and also a video on The Arty Teacher YouTube channel.
It’s much better value to subscribe to The Arty Teacher. Check out the time-saving monthly and annual subscription packages.
This Landscape collage unit has been a lifesaver. I needed a landscape unit of work quickly because I was given a class partway through the term, this has been perfect! There are many options for how to extend or simplify the work depending on the cohort of students. This paired with the Robing Brooks free resource has been a great way to give students something interesting and different to what they are used to, as well as giving real examples of how it is done so that students can see it is possible.
Thank you so much for creating this awesome resource!

The Landscape Collage Unit of Work provides relevant, inspiring and helpful resources needed to facilitate a student project on creating a landscape in collage. These include a comprehensive program to follow, a PPT presentation on collage artist Robin Brooks (complete with script), a great set of landscape images, various other resources and even an assessment Rubric. I’m planning to do landscape collages with my Year 10 students this semester and this package will be invaluable!
On a separate note, I had some issues downloading one resource and Sarah Crowther (The Arty Teacher) helped me through this process until my issue was solved. The quality of her after sales service is quite rare and just fantastic! I will be purchasing from The Arty Teacher again! All-in-all a fantastic experience 🙂

I set up The Arty Teacher because I have a passion for my subject that I want to share with other art teachers around the world.
I have been a high school art teacher for over 20 years, so I understand what it’s like to be in front of a class of students, often with very different abilities and attitudes.
I wanted to develop resources that would help teachers to bring out the best in every student in every class. I also wanted to free-up staff from time-consuming lesson preparation to let them focus instead on delivering exciting, motivating, dynamic lessons, supported by excellent resources.
